You either like article marketing or you hate it. Some
people find it easy to turn out articles, some find it
difficult to string a couple of sentences together.
But, love it or hate it, article marketing IS a good way to
get traffic to your website. Whether you use it or not,
everyone knows about writing articles and submitting them
to the Article Directories, one of the most well known being
EzineArticles, but there are many others. It is worthwhile
submitting your articles to as many of them as you can.
There is, however, another way to use your articles which
will quickly brand you are an expert in your field, and
give you, and your website or blog, valuable exposure to a
very targeted market in your field. And hardly anyone is
doing this.
What is it? Quite simply finding a website or online
publication that is in your niche, and becoming a columnist
for them.
With this method you are putting your articles and expertise
in front of your target market, people who are already
interested in your field or niche.
The only drawback to this method is that the website or
publication will quite possibly want you to write on a
regular basis, you may have to produce pieces to a schedule.
But the benefits of having such exposure to your ideal
target audience should far outway the inconvenience.
Just think what you would have to pay for such exposure,
and this method gives it to you for a bit of work producing
articles.
This method will also work offline. For example you could
find printed publications in your field, and contact them
to see if they want or need pieces for publication.
Once you start thinking in this way, I am sure there are
many other possibilities which you can take advantage of.
